Theme: The Role of Women in Sustainable Consumption and Production
Location: Tokyo, Japan
What role do women play in sustainability? How are women represented, and what barriers do they face in disruptive industries and challenging environments?
What is the link between industry and socio-environmental sustainability issues?
What challenges do women entrepreneurs in sustainability face and what are the implications on their livelihoods?
These are just some of the questions we will be addressing at the Women Sustainability Forum 2019. An interdisciplinary forum for discussion on case studies, impact research and entrepreneurial endeavors concerning women, sustainability, leadership and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Circular Fashion Even
The Forum concluded with a clothing swap where women in sustainability gathered to exchange clothing that they no longer wear for something from other women’s wardrobe.
Clothing swaps are a form of circular fashion because they allow us to extend the lifespans of clothing that is already in circulation.
